Entities
Entities are the core building blocks of your data model. Each entity represents a distinct concept (e.g. Customer, Order, Product) and can hold attributes, belong to a group, and participate in relations.
Attributes
Attributes describe the properties of an entity — for example, a "Customer" entity might have attributes like "Customer Name", "Email", and "Customer Since".
Relations
Relations connect two entities and describe how they are associated. For example, a Customer has many Orders, or an Order maps to many Products.
Custom Properties
Custom properties let you attach additional metadata to entities, attributes, or relations beyond the built-in fields. For example, you might track "Data Owner", "Source System", or "Contains PII" across your model.
Viewpoints
Viewpoints let you create different perspectives of your model. Each viewpoint contains a subset of entities arranged independently — useful for focusing on a specific domain area or audience.
Canvas & Visualization
The canvas is the central workspace where you see and interact with your data model as a visual graph.

Model Persistence & Sync
ITB tracks all changes locally in your browser (IndexedDB) and synchronizes them with the API. This page covers the full model state lifecycle, including save, discard, history, locking, and recovery.
Git Integration
ITB can push and pull your model to a Git repository, enabling version control and collaboration.
